U's travel to the coast

Oxford United Women travel to the South coast for a Thursday evening fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Yellows are coming off of a tough fought 2-1 loss to Tottenham and will be looking to get back to the same level of potency that saw them beat Aston Villa 3-1.

The opponents on Thursday are heading into the game having beaten London Bees 3-1 in their previous fixture.

Oxford will have to be wary of former player Ini Umotong. The striker scoring six goals in 12 games, making her The Seagulls top scorer, with three more than Danielle Buet.

For United, Kayleigh Hines remains top scorer with five goals in 13 games, two more than striker Chloe Chivers.

The two teams previously met on 29th October last year and played out a thrilling 2-2 draw. The only other fixture in WSL2 between the sides was in the Spring Series 2017, when they also cancelled each other out to draw.

With their next fixture over a month after the Brighton game, Oxford will be looking for something positive to head into the break with.

Oxford United Women are away to Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday, kick off is at 19:45.
